Five Stars for Three Star Revival

Knoxville, being the home for amazing artist such as the Dirty Guv'nahs, is full of up and coming artists. One that I have recently found that deserves a five star rating is Three Star Revival. Ben Gaines, singer and guitar/banjo player, came to Knoxville because of the engineering major at the University of Tennessee. He soon after met Cameron Moore, who is their lead rhythm and guitar player and their career as musicians took off. There is not a lot written about the others in the band or how they got their start, but who needs a back story when their music is amazing.

This band's genre would be considered Americana Rock. They were founded in May of 2014, and since then they have featured two albums: Set You Free and Change It Up. Every song features a little bit of blues, with some rock and country, as well. If you are looking for a good song to represent them as artists check out the song "Set You Free" below:

I chose this band because they represent the style of music that enjoy listening to, and they always come back to Knoxville to do their shows. They play at the Scuffy City Hall, Barley's, and other local venues. I think that it is important, that no matter how big a band becomes that they stay loyal to the first city that supported them. I think that this band will continue to do that. They recently played for boxing weekend. I think this band is worth checking out.

  1. It's always nice to be able to support bands that come from our home town!
